A Difficult Decision

Addressing the Unexpected

Dear Aztec Community,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of this year’s Sadie Hawkins Dance, originally scheduled for February 23rd. This decision was not made lightly, and we understand the disappointment it may cause to many of our students and staff who were looking forward to this beloved event. Here, we provide the necessary details regarding the cancellation and the process for ticket refunds.

Behind the Decision

The decision to cancel the Sadie Hawkins Dance was made due to significantly lower ticket sales than anticipated, making it challenging to host the event as planned. Our primary goal is to ensure that school events are enjoyable, memorable, and inclusive experiences for all students. Unfortunately, in this instance, the low level of participation would not allow us to provide the experience we strive to offer.

Refund Information

We understand the inconvenience this may cause, especially to those who had already purchased tickets in anticipation of the event. To address this, full refunds will be available at the Activities Office starting immediately. To process your refund, please bring your original ticket receipt to the Activities Office during regular school hours. Our staff will assist you in ensuring that your refund is processed promptly and smoothly.

Moving Forward Together

The cancellation of the Sadie Hawkins Dance is a disappointment to us all, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused. We appreciate the understanding and support of the entire Aztec community as we navigate these unexpected circumstances.

Looking ahead, we are committed to learning from this experience and to continuing our efforts in bringing engaging, enjoyable events to our students in the future. We welcome your ideas and feedback on how we can enhance school events and ensure wide participation.

Please stay tuned to our website and social media channels for updates on future events and opportunities to come together as a community. Your enthusiasm and spirit are what make Azusa High a remarkable place, and we look forward to celebrating with you at upcoming events.
